
Donald W. Schrolucke

Donald W. Schrolucke, 85, of 107 Kuck St., New Knoxville, and formerly of Zanesville and Cape Coral, Fla., died on Monday, May 12, 2008.
He was born Oct. 15, 1922, in New Knoxville, the son of the late William and Mary Henschen Schrolucke.
Don was a 1940 graduate of New Knoxville High School. He retired from the Westfield Co., where he was an insurance claims adjuster. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II. Don was a member of American Legion Post 444, New Knoxville and Eagles 767 in Saint Marys. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and enjoyed golfing. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville.
He is survived by one brother, Robert (Shirley) Schrolucke of New Knoxville; by his close friend, Margaret Henschen of New Knoxville; by nephews, Jack (Sarah) Schrolucke of New Knoxville, Gary (Deborah) Schrolucke of New Knoxville and Ted Schrolucke of Florida; by nieces Carol (Marty) Handell of Cincinnati and Joyce Webb of Sidney; and by numerous great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lillian Henschen, who he married on March 2, 1947, and who died Jan. 21, 2000; and one brother, Vernon Schrolucke.
